As the son of a man who refuses to drink any sort of expensive beer, I may have just disinherited myself with this one. Though I’m sure that this brew won’t cost this much just anywhere, it seems that to get one in Seoul you’ll have to pay a whopping $15. Not that it isn’t worth it. As a person who generally doesn’t enjoy dunkels very much (I’m not a big fan of the carmel flavors common to the style), I really enjoyed this one. And its no wonder: this one had a much less defined carmel flavor than some of the other dunkels I’ve had, namely Beck’s Dark. Instead, its flavor had more in common with the weissbier-dunkels that I love so much, though admittedly still quite different. If you’ve ever tried a dunkel and were less than impressed, give this one a shot and it might bring you around.
